Pilot project for training of unemployed and employed people in the field of balneology

The Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association in close cooperation with the National Balneo-Tourism Federation implement a joint programme under the National Employment Action Plan 2007, namely “Pilot project for training of unemployed and employed people in the field of balneology”. The Project is exceptionally innovative in its essence and significance due to the unique character of the mineral sources in Bulgaria and the necessity, stated by the employers within the sector of qualified personnel for balneotourism in the country. The first project activity is a train-the-trainers course in the field of balneology and adult education, in which ten doctors in physical medicine from the Specialized Hospitalities for Rehabilitation – a project partner, shall be trained. Within the process of training the participants shall be acquainted with the novelties in the field of balneology and manual therapy as well as with the methods and principles the adult education. The further activity after the successful train-the-trainers course is the start of the actual training, namely – training of 60 unemployed people, registered at tge Labour Office Departments – 12 people from each of the following five regions – Velingrad, Ovcha Mogila, Pavel Banya, Pomorie and Sandanski for a period of 60 days or 360 training hours. The Institute shall provide the trainees with the opportunity to be trained under the Xpert Personal Business Skills – „Selling skills and customer care”, in order to guarantee the professional and personal development of social competencies.
