FINAL PROJECT MEETING – ALPHA 16 + WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF GRUNDTVIG PROGRAMME

The Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association took part in the final meeting of the Alpha 16+ project within the Grundtvig programme on the 29th and 30th of September 2007 in the city of Leicester, Great Britain. At the meeting there participated the partners from Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, France and England, whereby the positive outcomes out of the project implementation were reported as well as their concrete application as a European practice. The project website www.alpha16plus.org presents the multilingual setoff good practices for encouraging the literacy measures as well as the actions towards overwhelming the functional illiteracy. It is expected very soon the basic project output to be both published and presented, namely the Handbook for key persons to raise awareness and for providing information about reasons and effects of basic skills deficiencies.
